Job Description
|
This individual (lead engineer & team leader) is a specialist on Juniper M series routers.
Duties include attending technical planning and review meetings with project team, co-developing due diligence technical criteria with project team, providing weekly progress report to the corporate engineering management, leading engineering team through due diligence, collecting technical information for database entry, identifying remediation requirements, and implementing SNMP network management.
In their capacity as lead engineer & project leader, this individual will have responsibility for the operational stability, technical support, and design, for a core network of 21Juniper M-20 routers.
(a) Ensuring WAN networking, routing and data integrity, & maintaining systems capacity and network performance
(b) Leading the development and implementation of solutions to support business requirements, design, promote and implement standards, procedures and policies to ensure availability, capacity and performance of networks in conformance with SLAs
(c) Develop project implementation plans, survey and evaluate performance needs and goals of the network, and recommend improvements to existing infrastructure
(d) Develop and monitor security procedures to safeguard system from physical harm and viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data
(e) Diagnose and resolve complex Juniper issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, Computer science, Electrical Engineering or MIS.
Required: Cisco CCNP certification –IF Possible; CCNP + CCNP/DP and/or CCSA and/or CCIE.
Expert knowledge: Hands-on experience with Juniper M-20 and other M series routers
Working knowledge Cisco router, LAN switches, Cisco routing technology; configuration experience
Working knowledge NAI Sniffer, Firewall and Security technology
